A Beacon is a type of triangulation mark.

There are 52 instances (including replacements) in the OSGB36 list. Two are primary stations (Air Beacons at Brenchley and Bethersden). A further 26 beacons are 3rd order and 24 are 4th order.

Beacons are classified as Intersected Stations in TP:UK.
